Holding a Master of Science in Aerospace from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, Mikael has led organizations through strategic growth, technology adoption, and large-scale transformations. His expertise in navigating complex business environments has positioned him as a recognized leader in healthcare IT.

Genady Knizhnik
Executive Vice President
Genady Knizhnik is the Executive Vice President of Canon Medical Informatics, where he oversees the company’s commercial, marketing, and service operations. In addition to this role, Genady is also responsible for driving global Go-To-Market initiatives through the Canon Medical HIT leadership team. With over 20 years of experience in the medical imaging industry, Genady has a strong track record of managing business growth, achieving multi-million-dollar sales objectives, and developing sales strategies for new product portfolios. Before joining Canon Medical, he held various leadership positions, overseeing business expansion across multiple regions. Genady holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Ryan Thorvilson
Chief Financial Officer
Ryan Thorvilson, Chief Financial Officer, joined Canon Medical Informatics in March 2006 as the senior manager of financial reporting. Since that time, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including director of finance and accounting and vice president of finance, accounting and human resources. Prior to joining Canon Medical, he was the controller at Optical Solutions and a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Thorvilson holds a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration, accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Skye Fleming
Vice President, Human Resources
As Vice President of Human Resources at Canon Medical Informatics, Skye Fleming leads a dynamic and strategic HR function tailored to the complex demands of the healthcare industry. A graduate of the Human Resources Post Graduate Program at Conestoga College, Waterloo, Ontario, Skye brings deep expertise in workforce planning, leadership development, and culture-building, she ensures the organization remains agile, well-resourced, and aligned with the evolving needs of healthcare IT.

Jeff Hendrikse
Vice President, Product Management
Jeff Hendrikse is the Vice President of Product Management for Canon Medical Informatics, Inc. He is responsible for the upstream marketing and product management functions for Canon Medical’s software portfolio. Mr. Hendrikse’s previous roles at Canon Medical include VP of Enterprise Imaging, and Product Line Director for Data Management. Prior to joining Canon Medical, Mr. Hendrikse was vice president of global sales and marketing for Karos Health, which was acquired by Canon Medical in 2016. He has over 25 years of experience in product management and business development in the healthcare IT market. Mr. Hendrikse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo.
Scott Rich
Vice President, Engineering
Scott Rich is the Senior Director of Engineering at Canon Medical Informatics, where he leads the company’s engineering operations. With over 20 years of experience, Scott has a proven track record of driving business growth by identifying and fulfilling customer needs, improving product quality, and spearheading strategic technological innovations. Before joining Canon Medical, he held various leadership roles, from leading successful startups to guiding global organizations through complex technological transformations. Mr. Rich holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
Marcel Lantinga
Managing Director, EMEA
Marcel Lantinga is the Managing Director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Canon Medical Informatics, Inc. He finished his education for radiographer in 1996 at the Free University Medical Center (VUmc, Amsterdam, The Netherlands) where he specialized in MRI technology. In 2000, he joined Oldelft Benelux (Netherlands, since 2012 part of the Canon Group) in a sales position for all radiology X-ray and healthcare IT systems.
Prior to taking on his role as Managing Director, Mr. Lantinga held different sales related positions in the company, and was involved in the post-acquisition merger between the different Toshiba/Canon companies in Europe. In 2018, Mr. Lantinga was charged with leading and building Canon Medical’s Europe, Middle East and Africa market, which is dedicated to enterprise imaging.
